IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT THE CHILL HOCKEY TRYOUT PROCESS
-
All Players are required to pay for tryouts and attend at least 2 of the first 3 skates.
-
Tryouts can extend past 3 skates if deemed necessary by the coaching staff and or the Club.
-
An offer to play for CHILL Hockey in 2023-2024 can come at any point in time, notwithstanding such, tryout attendance (as outlined above) is still mandatory for all Players.
-
Any offer received prior to tryouts will remain valid for 1 week from date of issue or until the first scheduled skate, whichever happens first.
-
Any offer received during tryouts will remain valid for 48 hours or until 24 hours after the last scheduled skate, whichever happens first.
-
Any offer received after the final tryout skate will remain valid for 24 hours, after that there is no guarantee of a spot on any CHILL team.
-
-
Exceptions may be made, at the Club discretion, to extend the above timeframe on offers to Players if they are trying out for a AAA or AA teams in another centre.
-
The Club will not provide any timeframe extensions on offers for Players who are still participating in tryouts for A level or below teams in another centre. The Club targets our program and skill level to compete at the AA/A level, and while we’re open to “waiting” for players also skating for AAA or AA level tryouts, we wish to reward Players who want to play CHILL Hockey foremost and at the A level we feel a choice must be made by the Player at that time.
-
All Players are welcome and encouraged to tryout with us and other centres if they desire. We ask that you let us know in advance, in the event there are conflicts and for transparency. We will never hold it against a player who wants to explore options and keep doors open.
-
Tryout fees are refundable minus a $20 administration fee up to 1 week before the first skate. After that time, there will be no refunds on tryout fees.
